INTRODUCTION

Free to move

Transport your aircraft with a simple, lightweight trailer to your preferred flying zone—or enjoy touring with your van and family while bringing your aircraft along. TrueLite weighs only 115 kg empty, so it doesn’t require a large car for towing. The folding wing system allows the aircraft to be ready to fly in just 2 minutes, and it can be stored in any standard garage.

The best Minimalistic flying!

Forgot hangar space: everything you need and not much else! Take off in just 120 meters and climb with the 35 hp engine at 1,000 ft/min. Powered by a gasoline engine or available with an electric motor, TrueLite operates comfortably on runways of 200 meters and cruises at 100 km/h.

Passion of fly

with this aircraft we have brought the performance of open cabin flying to the maximum, you will smile again every time you fly on this airplane with responsive controls, safe and friendly to piloting, and max of performance with open cockpit.

Assembly yourself

Its hole-to-hole sheet metal structure ensures a robust yet lightweight build, with no Bending or composite work required. Assembly is straightforward and supported by a dedicated app, a step-by-step manual, and clear technical documentation.

Assistance

We assist builders in their own language—Italian, English, or Spanish. Our support and guided app make sure you’re never alone during the build. You’ll have direct access to the Aviad throughout the process.

TrueLite Ultralight Aircraft
Foldable – FAR 103 Compliant and Trailer-Ready

TrueLite by Aviad is a modular ultralight aircraft available both as a complete kit and as a fully assembled, ready-to-fly model. Designed for builders, flight clubs, and aviation enthusiasts, TrueLite combines very quick foldable System, low operating costs, and easy assembly to make ultralight aviation more accessible than ever.

Whether you're a solo pilot looking for a personal aircraft, a flight club seeking a reliable training platform, or a constructor interested in hands-on assembly, TrueLite adapts to your operational needs. Its design is rooted in real-world testing, precision sheet metal engineering, and international compliance—meeting standards such as FAR 103 (USA), SSDR (UK), and Class 120 (Germany) and Dgac Registration (France).

With wings that fold in under 60 seconds, compatibility with engines like the Vittorazi Cosmos 300 and Polini Thor 303, and garage-storable dimensions, TrueLite delivers minimalist aviation with maximum freedom—whether you choose to build it yourself or receive it flight-ready.

Sheet Metal Hole-to-Hole Construction

TrueLite is assembled using hole-to-hole sheet metal technology. All metallic parts are pre-cut and pre-drilled, allowing precise alignment any complicate work like welding, machining, bending or structural adjustments. Builders receive coded components, ready to be installed, Fastners, Teleflex cables, AN-standard screws, and all necessary components for a easy assembly, just minimal adjustment are required like drilling fabric covering for some parts are required..

The process is designed to be accessible: basic hand tools and a methodical approach are sufficient. While no advanced skills are required, prior familiarity with sheet metal handling can accelerate the build. Estimated assembly time is approximately 170 hours for the Basic Kit and 80 hours for the Quick Build Kit, depending on workspace and builder experience.

Technical Features & Performance

TrueLite is engineered for efficiency, modularity, and real-world usability.

  • Modular Construction: Built from pre-cut, pre-drilled aluminum components using hole-to-hole sheet metal technology. No welding or composite work required.

  • Rapid Folding System: Wings fold in under 60 seconds by a single person. Designed for trailer transport and garage storage.

  • Road-Tested Durability: Validated over 8,000 km of transport across European roads—highway, rural, and off-road.

Engine Compatibility: Supports gasoline engines such as Vittorazi Cosmos 300 and Polini Thor 303, as well as electric powerplants.

Flight Envelope:

Takeoff distance: 80 meters

Operates on runways as short as 200 meters

Cruise speed: 100 km/h

Stall speed: 44 km/h

Empty weight: 115 kg

Open cockpit with panoramic visibility, ergonomic control layout, and optional front fairing.

The aircraft’s maneuvering speed (VA) and maximum structural speed (VNE) are both well above its normal flight characteristics, ensuring safe operation without concerns about critical speed margins. Flap extension speed is equal to cruise speed.

International Compliance & Adaptability

TrueLite meets multiple ultralight aviation standards:

  • FAR 103 (USA)

  • SSDR (UK)

  • DGAC (France)

  • Klass 120 (Gemany) compatible

  • Experimental & Club Use (EU & beyond)

  • Amateur construction (Spain and other)

Its low wing loading and stable flight characteristics make it ideal for short-field operations, low-speed maneuvering, and pilot instruction.

Assembly Process & Builder Support

TrueLite is designed for individual builders and technical teams who want a streamlined, modular construction experience. Flight clubs typically receive pre-assembled or ready-to-fly units, while constructors benefit from a guided build process supported by Aviad’s dedicated app.

  • Basic Kit Includes all metallic parts, accessories, and controls. Built using hole-to-hole sheet metal technology—no welding or mechanical work required. Estimated build time: 170 hours.

  • Quick Build Kit Includes pre-assembled wings, tail surfaces, tail boom and control elements. Ideal for reducing build time while maintaining hands-on experience. Estimated build time: 80 hours.

  • Ready to Fly Fully assembled and tested by Aviad. Delivered flight-ready (engine and instruments optional). Ideal for clubs, instructors, and pilots who want immediate access to flight.

  • Assembly Guidance via App Builders follow the process step-by-step using Aviad’s dedicated mobile app, which includes coded part tracking, and real-time support.
