Basic show information:
Last weekend, I had the honor of attending the airshow at Blois-Le Breuil Airfield, near Blois MULM. For three intense days, the event hosted numerous aircraft builders, paramotors, helicopters, and various ultralight aeronautical companies. I was there to introduce our company, AVIAD, and our New airplane, the TrueLite. Derived from the experience with the Zigolo mg12, the TrueLite has been meticulously designed to be trailer-transported, offering notable features in its category and surprisingly agile assembly.
Prior preparations:
The invitation came unexpectedly, just four days before the show. Thanks to the collaboration of Viladair, our partners, we managed to prepare the trailer, design simple flyers in French, and label the company van. Given the rush, I attended the event alone and undertook a long journey that ended on Thursday around 9:00 pm.
Atmosphere:
The magnitude of the show exceeded my expectations. Interest was palpable, especially on Friday and Sunday. Weather conditions were a challenge, but I've always believed that a little rain on a journey brings good luck. The Vilagio Retro ULM became my anchor during the event. Its community, led by Thomas, made me feel at home, offering me hospitality, peaceful music every morning, and delicious breakfasts and dinner. Despite the language barrier, people like Stephan Roche and Christophe Guyon, and the show organizers, became vital connections that helped me in many aspects, including presenting and testing the TrueLite in flight.
TrueLite's Flight:
The real milestone was the flight of the TrueLite, which although it took place at the end of the show and with some crosswind, captured the admiration of many. Despite the initial challenges and French communications complicating my participation in the air exhibitions, the constant support from those present drove me to achieve it. And it was worth it: the TrueLite excited flight enthusiasts, showcasing its potential in the sector and its great difference to the current Ultralight world.
AVIAD's Present: New Stage in Girona
Although I am Italian, I have been living in Spain for the past nine years. AVIAD has recently entered an exciting stage by moving near Girona, precisely Viladamat. Our new factory, located next to the Airsport aerodrome and with the support of the collaborating company Villadair, is prepared to manage the full production of the TrueLite. This plane promises to be a valuable addition to the world of ultralight aviation.
If you are a true aviation enthusiast, I invite you to visit us at our new facility and learn more about the TrueLite and AVIAD's future projects. For those who have read up to here, your passion is clearly genuine. I want to invite you to get in touch with us. We are in a period of intense work and, after two years of testing the TrueLite with many flight hours and thousands of km on the trailer, we are sure it is a great machine. The final model will have more legroom, a slightly larger wingspan, and flaps will be added, thus complying with the American Far103 regulation. Although I personally don't consider flaps necessary for this type of machine since we have a slow enough stall speed, this adjustment will allow the TrueLite to become a super STOL with larger wheels, a comfortable stance for the pilot. Additionally, we are designing an optional fairing for winter that can be assembled and disassembled as desired, as well as a small windshield.

AVIAD au Salon de l'Air de Blois : Présentation du TrueLite
Informations de base sur le salon: Le week-end dernier, j'ai eu l'honneur d'assister au salon aérien à l'Aérodrome de Blois-Le Breuil, près de Blois MULM. Pendant trois jours intenses, l'événement a accueilli de nombreux constructeurs d'avions, de paramoteurs, d'hélicoptères et diverses entreprises du secteur aéronautique ultraléger. J'étais là pour présenter notre entreprise, AVIAD, et notre nouvel avion, le TrueLite ( La prononciation anglaise est préférable). Issu de l'expérience avec le Zigolo mg12, le TrueLite a été méticuleusement conçu pour être transporté sur remorque, offrant des caractéristiques remarquables dans sa catégorie et un montage étonnamment agile.
Préparations préalables: L'invitation est arrivée de manière inattendue, seulement quatre jours avant le salon. Grâce à la collaboration de Villadair, nos partenaires, nous avons réussi à préparer la remorque, à concevoir des flyers simples en français et à étiqueter le van de l'entreprise. Étant donné la précipitation, j'ai assisté à l'événement seul et j'ai entrepris un long voyage qui s'est terminé jeudi vers 21h00.
Ambiance: L'ampleur du salon a dépassé mes attentes. L'intérêt était palpable, en particulier le vendredi et le dimanche. Les conditions météorologiques ont été un défi, mais j'ai toujours cru qu'un peu de pluie pendant un voyage apportait de la chance. Le Vilage Retro ULM est devenu mon ancrage pendant l'événement. Sa communauté, dirigée par Thomas, m'a fait me sentir chez moi, m'offrant hospitalité, musique paisible chaque matin, et petits déjeuners et dîners délicieux. Malgré la barrière de la langue, des personnes comme Stephan Roche et Christopher Guyon, ainsi que les organisateurs du salon, sont devenues des connexions essentielles qui m'ont aidé à bien des égards, y compris pour présenter et tester le TrueLite en vol.
Le vol du TrueLite: Le véritable jalon a été le vol du TrueLite, qui, bien qu'il ait eu lieu à la fin du salon et avec un peu de vent de travers, a capturé l'admiration de nombreux. Malgré les défis initiaux et les communications en français qui ont compliqué ma participation aux expositions aériennes, le soutien constant des personnes présentes m'a poussé à y parvenir. Et cela en valait la peine : le TrueLite a enthousiasmé les passionnés de vol, montrant son potentiel dans le secteur et sa grande différence par rapport au monde ULM actuel.
Actualités d'AVIAD: Nouvelle étape à Gérone Bien que je sois italien, je vis en Espagne depuis neuf ans. AVIAD est récemment entré dans une phase passionnante en déménageant près de Gérone, précisément à Viladamat. Notre nouvelle usine, située à côté de l'aérodrome Airsport et avec le soutien de l'entreprise collaboratrice Villadair, est prête à gérer la production complète du TrueLite. Cet avion promet d'être une précieuse addition au monde de l'aviation ultralégère.
